QR code business card:
any camera will do.

A taptap card has a QR code on the back and an NFC chip inside. Anyone who doesn’t tap it scans the code with their camera, and your profile opens just the same. No app needed, and the card never needs reprinting.

How it works

Three steps,
no app.

  1. 1
    Open the camera

On iPhone and most Android phones the built-in camera recognises the code.

  2. 2
    Tap the yellow link

The my.taptap.hu link appears above the code.

  3. 3
    The profile opens

They save your details with one tap.

Good to know

One code,
always pointing to you.

How do you scan the QR code?

On iPhone and most Android phones the built-in camera recognises the code: point it at the card and tap the link that appears. On older Android phones, Google Lens does the job.

NFC or QR code?

NFC is the quickest: just touch the card to the phone. The QR code works on any phone with a camera. A taptap card has both, so it works for everyone.

The code stays, the profile changes

The QR code points to your profile, not to old details. New number, job title or company? Change it in your Account, and the card shows the new one without reprinting.

A QR code without the card

Card not on you? Use the QR icon in the top-right corner of your profile to show the code on your phone, at an event or in an online meeting.

Paper QR code or taptap?

A QR code printed on a paper card usually holds fixed details, and every change means a reprint. A taptap card lasts, and your profile is always up to date.

Is it safe?

The code only opens your public profile at my.taptap.hu: people see what you choose to show. Nobody gets into your Account, and you can change things any time.

Why have a QR code on the card too?

  • works on older phones without NFC
  • anyone can scan it, no app
  • your profile stays up to date, no reprinting
  • you can show it from your phone too
FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Do you need an app to scan the QR code?

No. On iPhone and most Android phones the built-in camera recognises the code. On older Android phones, Google Lens or a QR reader does it.

Does the QR code change if I edit my details?

No. The QR code points to your profile. Edit your profile in your Account any time; the card never needs reprinting.

What’s the difference between NFC and a QR code?

With NFC you just touch the card to the phone; the QR code is scanned with the camera. A taptap card has both.

Can I show my QR code on my phone too?

Yes, with the QR icon in the top-right corner of your profile. That way you can share your details without the card.

How much does a QR code business card cost?

taptap cards have a one-off price, no monthly fee, and every card has both an NFC chip and a QR code. See the current prices on the Cards page.
